New Town Council Premises


Town Councillors, along with people of Burgh Le Marsh in involved in the new Library Building met this week to mark the start of groundworks in preparation for delivery and commissioning of a modular building that will house the towns Library and Town Clerks office.

The £160K modular building, which is expected to be in use by the new year, will be delivered at the end of this month and the Library is expected to open in the new building early in the new year.

The thriving and successful Burgh Le Marsh Library is currently housed in the Burgh Community Complex and is run by local volunteers following a transfer from Lincolnshire County Council in Novemenber 2015

Mayor of Burgh Le Marsh Cllr Neil Cooper said ‘ This is a landmark development for Burgh le Marsh. The Town Council have committed their full support to the library service in Burgh Le Marsh. And it is a opportunity to form a new council office which is available to all ‘

Julie Peach, Chairman of the Library Volunteers Group said ‘ We are all very excited to be involved in this project. The new Library will provide even more opportunities to deliver an excellent service to our customers in Burgh Le Marsh’
