Official Opening the "New Kitchen" at Burgh W.I.
Sunday 10th May 2015
Burgh W.I. held an open morning to showcase their “New Kitchen” which also doubled as a clue venue
for the BBC Radio Lincolnshire Programme “Pirate Gold”
The Radio Car travels around the county each Sunday morning visiting local attractions and events
collecting a clue at each venue which they solve with the help of the listeners to get them onto the next venue.
Hopefully, they eventually find the “Pirate Gold”. Very good fun and a great way for publicity for each event.
Amanda White arrived at 10.30a.m and after cutting the ribbon to officially open the new kitchen
the serving hatch opened to reveal the next clue.
Margaret Pisarska gave thanks on behalf of the W.I. to W.R.E.N., the Lions, Burgh Co-op
and members for the fundraising and to Rosemary Payne for her dedication to the New Kitchen project
and a special mention to local builder, Malcolm Holmes, for the entire installation of the new kitchen.
After Amanda left for the next venue to Sausethorpe everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet
