As a volunteer for Burgh Windmill I get to meet visitors to Burgh from all over England and many from abroad.

On Sunday, August 20 th 2006, I met three ladies from Queensland , Australia and spent an enjoyable time chatting and taking photographs with their cameras for them to have souvenir pictures to remember their time here, and during our conversation I discovered that one of the ladies was Estelle Pinney, a popular fiction writer. I have since visited her website and was really fascinated with her life history and thought it would be of interest to feature on our website.
