What is a Parish Nurse?

The Parish Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse, whose knowledge is supported by a specialist Parish Nursing education programme.A Parish Nurse works alongside the local church and other healthcare providers combining knowledge of the body with a focus on spiritual health care. Spiritual Health is central to well- being & influences a persons entire being. In partnership with other resources the Parish Nurse works to bring 'wholeness', giving individuals a sense of worth and purpose.

How Can The Parish Nurse Help and Who is it For?

It is a free service for people of all faiths & none. Although it is rooted in Christian under standing of health and wholeness, it is offered unconditionally.
