THIS YEAR'S CARNIVAL WILL BE HELD DURING THE PERIOD Saturday 28 June and Sunday 6 July. The theme for all events is “THE CIRCUS” |

The first event was the APRIL AUCTION which was held on Saturday 5 th April 2008, in the Community Hall, Jackson's Lane commencing at 10.30 hours. The Committee would like to thank everyone who gave so generously, over £950.00 (nine hundred and fifty pounds) was raised.
Layford Packing Company Limited has very kindly given £250.00 (two hundred and fifty pounds) towards the cost of acts and expenses and is, therefore, acting as sponsor.
There are going to be the following competitions, all judged by independent persons: Scarecrows, Shop Windows, and new this year: “A VILLAGE SHOW” WITH CAKE AND JAM MAKING, FLOWER ARRANGING, PRODUCE INCLUDING FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. Children are invited to take part in some of the classes. A photography competition, entitled “MY BURGH LE MARSH” . The Classes, Rules and Entry Forms are now available, so please watch this space for further details. Boxes to put your entry forms are situated in Co-op, Spar, Library, Community Coffee Shop and Mill. There will also be a PET SHOW with 6 classes, so grab an entry form and start grooming your pet!! Other attractions include many side shows and stalls, Royal Air Force EOD Team, 198 Pioneer Regiment RLC(V) Camp with observation post and Museum, Bouncy Castle, Let your dog try the Obstacle and Agility course, Punch and Judy and magic mix, meet the clowns and children's' entertainers, Coffee and Tea Stall, Burger and Hot Dog Stall, Ice Cream Stall, Mega Mocha Machine, Face Painting, Silly sports for Mums, Dads and Children plus The Hall Way to Dance welcomes Lisa Jay Stage Institute . DO NOT FORGET THE FANCY DRESS COMPETITIONS, for children and adults, with cash and other prizes. GRAND DRAW TICKETS NOW ON SALE 20p per ticket (£1.00 per book) At least twenty good prizes
